Burnley racked up yet another defeat in the Premier League when they visited Tottenham, but the nature of the defeat will hurt the Turf Moor outfit. The visitors performed very well and went ahead against them before being pegged back, but the winner came as Moussa Sissoko, who just a minute before had been allowed to stay on the pitch after a shocking challenge, fed Danny Rose a through ball for the winner.

This made it five defeats and one win for Burnley in their last six Premier League games, and it leaves them just three points clear of the relegation zone in 16th position.

At home they have put in some very impressive performances though. They have won five, drawn one, and lost two of their last eight home matches, and those defeats were narrow losses to Arsenal and Manchester City. Burnley have beaten the likes of Liverpool, Watford, Everton, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth at home.

Middlesbrough managed to get back to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Swansea last weekend, but in all honesty they didn’t play that well. This made it two wins, two draws, and three defeats in their last seven outings, and due to their poor start to the season they only find themselves four points above the drop zone.
